Kites – Toddler Tales Day 11

Staying locked up inside we now value the freedom a lot more than before. What about our little kids they don’t know what it feels like. The freedom to walk on roads, freedom to choose, freedom to meet friends, freedom to make friends, freedom to express, freedom to do whatever we like, freedom to see nature up close, freedom to be myself and much more will be lost forever and our toddlers will have to be more responsible than we’re.

Bikaner Foundation day or Sthapana Diwas is quite famous for kite flying so Bikaner being our home town we did a few activities around kites in April. Kites are like freedom with a sense of security and support in the form of thread. Many stories convey a very strong message that like kites we can fly higher and reach new heights. While some people think that the thread is to stop us to reach our maximum potential but in reality the thread is the support of our family and friends which helps us stay strong during good and bad times.

King pretend play

Pretend play is a wonderful way to teach new words and about the world. Today we choose to be king and the servant. No points for guessing who is the servant. Well, as parents we do everything to keep our little ones happy so why not explain them about being the king and its privileges. Along with it let them handle some simple house problems like scattered toys, missing monkeys etc. I will share more on pretend play in coming days soon.
